Bizcover America was the 4th overseas business delegation of YES, with 100 members, headed by Mr. V. Neethi Mohan, Chairman YES. The prime focus of this delegation was to improve trade links in the food processing and garment industries.
The delegation comprised entrepreneurs from various YES chapters – Madurai, Chennai, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram, Karur, and Sivakasi – representing trades from sweet manufacturing to pharma and handloom, with turnovers ranging from ₹1 crore to ₹100 crore.
This delegation provided opportunities to study business models, tools for business development, and best practices while aiming to increase bilateral trade and promote industrial investments.
Key highlights of the trip included visits to:
- apartment US India Business Council – representing America’s top companies investing in India.
- location_city Iconic cities including New York, Washington, Niagara, Orlando, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
- storefront ZAPPOS.com – a leading online store for shoes and clothes (owned by Amazon.com) to understand their business culture and core values.
- event_available Infocomm 2014 – one of the largest professional AV shows in the world with 950+ exhibitors from over 110 countries.
- groups Interactive meetings with eminent Indian businessmen such as JeyAmalraj (Executive Director & Chief Business Technologist, JP Morgan Global Asset Management) and Saran Kanakaraj (Founder, Variman Technologies).
