YES Profile

Young Entrepreneur School (YES) was established in the year 2004 on the 15th of August in Madurai by the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TN Chamber) with the aim of training young people to successfully navigate the challenges and pitfalls associated with entrepreneurship. This progressive idea was initiated during the Trade Delegation of TN Chamber to South Africa.

YES was inaugurated by Dr. Justice A. R. Lakshmanan, former Supreme Court Judge, in the presence of the then President of TN Chamber, Mr. Rethinavelu. At the first meeting, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India, visited the Chamber and interacted with the members of YES and the TN Chamber on 27 August 2004, coinciding with the TN Chamber’s 80th anniversary.

Since its inception, YES has grown multifold under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. V. Neethi Mohan. The TN Chamber, headed by President Dr. N. Jegatheesan, extends its unconditional support to YES.

Currently, YES operates through 31 chapters across Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Bengaluru, with a membership exceeding 4,000+ entrepreneurs.
